watch out jimmy swaggart---

You are 14% Rational, 57% Extroverted, 28% Brutal, and 57% Arrogant.
As the Lord as my witness, I swear upon the good book that you are indeed the TELEVANGELIST! Characterized by extreme arrogance, self-assurance, and extroversion, you would make a very charismatic leader (or a very despotic one). On top of that, you are also more intuitive than rational, predisposing you to a more spiritual or emotional outlook on life. Thus, you are thoroughly irrational. You also tend to be rather gentle and considerate of others' feelings. Clearly, you would make the perfect televangelist. Emotional, extroverted, arrogant, and gentle, you annoy the hell out of people who have to listen to the feel-good, intuitive shit spewing from your mouth. (Just ask my kids-they were stuck with me all weekend.) Not only that, but people may look down on you as a self-centered asshat. (Never thought of myself as a self centered asshat.) So while you are gentle and genuinely care about others, it is quite clear that you still care about yourself MORE. (Definitely a quality valued in a social worker!) Why is your personality flawed? Because you are too damned extroverted, emotional, and arrogant. So preach your irrational message, brotha-man! I assure you, no one will be listening! (Ain't that the truth!)
To put it less negatively:

1. You are more INTUITIVE than rational.

2. You are more EXTROVERTED than introverted.

3. You are more GENTLE than brutal.

4. You are more ARROGANT than humble.

Your exact opposite is the Spiteful Loner.

Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Hippie, the Starving Artist, and the Robot.

there is no pretending

that as i get older a great day like this, (even one that included a trip to the doctor, a mono and a strep test)- but also a day of shopping and a pre-birthday party at the cheesecake factory is a rarity-- a day where i get both of my little darlings together and we can laugh and act super-silly. but there also is no pretending that i hold these days close...
studio friday. let's pretend.

craft soap box

so, the youngster and i went to a to be un-named chain craft store last nite (hL) to find a plastic pom pom maker thing. of course, they did not have it. they did have the gold embroidery floss that i had run out of which was good. but, i swear, i could not FIND a thing to buy in that whole big cavern of a store. my opinion, the worst. and i still take issue with that wall of glass that you have to make your way thru to get to the back of the store. moral of the story-shop at red lead where they have everything! sans wall of glass.

some round things

Oh, I'm so excited-this is my first official Studio Friday- and I think I just slipped in under the wire. Here are some cool round things. Forgot where I got the fab bracelet, but I think I need to start wearing it.

i've loved these quizzie things all my life.

things i cannot do-
1. not buy SOMETHING at Red Lead.
2. stop talking baby, goo goo talk to the cat.
3. it seems like i cannot stop picking at my cuticles.
4. ever get everything put away.
5. stop buying books.
6. resist almond joy--oh joy!
7. stop being sarcastic.

say often-
1. hola
2. oy
3. eek
4. jeez louise
5. fab
6. sorry (gotta get over that)
7. so....... or so,

b-4 i die
1. would like to read some of the classics that i HAD to read in school and hated. or actually understand shakespeare-ah, maybe not.
2. i want to live in colorado.
3. i want to be skinny!!!!! for longer than 2 days
4. i want to see my own kids have kids.
5. oh a cure for alzheimer's and cancer would be nice.
6. hardwood floors in my house.
7. that's it.

celeb crushes-
1. sick of all of 'em and their self absorbed b.s.
2. robert redford-he's probably a jerk too, but he's cute.

now christine farmer---you do this and no blonde jokes! this is serious!

In the midst of mittens...

Doesn't it crack you up...

When your kids act like they discovered the Beatles? So, now I read somewhere that it is "in" to give people the peace sign! Hiya little kiddies-You were a speck in the cosmos when the Vietnam war was raging and Nixon was resigning. Anyway, it just makes me laugh. What's old is new and we are hopelessly duh-mb, but we are always being imitated. I'm just chuckling a bit.

note to the queen- and showing off another postcard from the collection-c. 1975

I like Camilla-She seems like a down to earth, ok, middle aged gal. Now, be nice!

my little princess

first we went for the up-do and make-up with amanda (of naturally pure). when amanda finished with her make-up we all fake cried and said "remember how she used to ride her scooter here by herself when she was 7. our baby has grown up." then she put the dress on. what a princess! if i must say so myself. jeff's mother took better photos, but you get the idea.

50% off!

Okay, not only half off from last year but I actually remembered I had it stashed away. Whaddya think of that?

A lovely lunch~

Hardly a day goes by when I don't have this feast to look forward to during my noon meal...if only you could see the rest of the goodies I packed!

Yo Santa~

I know you are busy but these are only $398 a pair and I thought it would make shoveling and ice chipping a lot more tolerable...

toxic polaroids

hey- who remembers those polaroids where after you took the picture, you had to coat it with a swipe of this glop that was in a tube on a pink sponge? hence, the "vintage" brownage all around this wonderful photo of me and my brother- oh, hey rob- i think your fly is down- but just a tad. love and kisses xxx (and i can say that b/c i was looking wicked cute! and i don't think i was INTENTIONALLY giving you the finger either.)

I'll just have to keep putting these photos up here until you agree to start feeling better. Now, what's it going to be? Love from your sister.

back to the drawing board~

good colors, but the yarn's too thick, sleeve's akimbo, like the "rip" in the neck-a lucky mishap---as i said~back to the drawing board.
